What are security and efficiency trends that we're seeing in the industry?

Over the last decade, the number of data breaches in the healthcare industry has grown yearly. This has led to an increase in the visibility and requirements of an organization’s security. As the healthcare industry works with sensitive data, all software interacting with PHI (Protected Health Information) and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) must have secure systems, secure software, and policies and procedures to match.

How will Computrition adhere to this demand for increased security?

Computrition has a HITRUST certification and is on path for a SOC 2 Type 2 certification as well. While we believe Computrition is a security-conscious organization, it is also helpful to have security experts audit to ensure that we are what we say we are.

There are many definitions of going to the cloud. What do you believe customers want from a cloud-hosted solution?

Customers that want a cloud-based solution owned and maintained by Computrition may have different reasons for doing so. Some may want to decrease their dependency on their organization’s IT department, while others may want to reduce their organization’s risk/exposure from a security perspective. Others may prefer a regular subscription-style payment model vs. assigning their budget towards buying servers and the associated licenses, etc.

There are also customers that do not want to move to a cloud-based solution, and some will continue to prefer deploying software on infrastructure they own and maintain. Computrition strives to ensure both deployment models are available to our customers.

What sets us apart?

Computrition has a great mix of people who have been in the healthcare foodservice management industry for many years – and some team members have also been customers who have used our software. This collective experience gives our organization excellent domain knowledge of our solutions and how customers can use our software within standard processes and workflows.
