Based in Canada, Leanne Kolbe, CNM, CFT, is one of our dedicated Account Relationship Managers. Committed to staying aware of industry priorities and customer needs, she regularly attends the annual Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) conference. This year’s theme, “Let’s Move Mountains and Reach the Summit,” perfectly reflected the event’s spirit of ambition, collaboration, and celebration.

Decades of Connection and Growth

The CSNM Conference is more than a professional event—it’s a place where community thrives. Each year, it offers chances to reconnect with colleagues, build partnerships, and consider industry progress. The 2025 conference marked the 60th anniversary of CSNM and the 50th anniversary of Pacific Society of Nutrition Management. These milestones emphasize each organization’s impact and the shared commitment to advancing nutrition management in Canada.

Computrition and CSNM

As a leading provider of foodservice software, Computrition values its strong relationship with CSNM and its members. Our employees aim to engage with nutrition professionals as clients, collaborators, and peers. Furthermore, we develop our software solutions to enhance efficiency, support compliance, and improve care quality. Seeing these tools in action reinforces our company’s mission to equip providers with innovative technology and helpful resources.

A highlight of the conference was a tour of Dogwood Care Home, a Computrition customer since 2004. The facility showcases innovation with a home-style neighborhood model and integration of Indigenous culture and sacred spaces. These elements reflect respect for residents’ identities and well-being, and they truly demonstrate how technology and compassion work together. We are extremely proud to partner with Dogwood Care Home to facilitate personalized, culturally sensitive nutrition services.

Celebrating in Style

CSNM balances professional development with celebration, and this year was no exception. The Legacy Gala of Diamonds & Gold evening commended the profession’s grand history and future. The event concluded at Grouse Mountain where some traversed “the grind,” while others took the gondola up and enjoyed the grizzly bear habitat and hike to the peak. Per Leanne, “The stunning views, great company, and fresh air were the perfect way to close out a conference that truly moved mountains.”

Reflecting on the Journey Ahead

Conference sessions covered a variety of useful topics, including:

  • Regulatory updates

  • Workforce trends

  • Leadership

  • Technology

Leanne left CSNM inspired with new ideas to support clients and partners. Events like these reinforce the importance of collaboration across colleagues, associations, and providers, driving nutrition forward.
