Introduction
Bedside Connect and Room Service Connect are browser-based applications that allow you to use a touch screen application to select patrons and enter their meal choices while also allowing for full mouse and keyboard capability. While both applications can run on a PC or a mobile device, BC is designed to be run on a tablet for primary use at the bedside while RSC is designed to be run on a PC for primary use in a call center or diet office.
While both Connect products offer functionality similar to that seen in Hospitality Suite (HS), each was designed to simplify the menu selection process by offering a simpler menu entry method and providing additional patron-related information on the menu selection screen.
With Bedside Connect and Room Service Connect you can:
- Select patron and enter their meal selections, including:
- Request menu items not offered on the patron menu
- Adjust portion sizes
- View nutrients for the meal
- Add a comment for the meal or a menu item This feature is available with the Room Service module.
- View Special Services
- View and edit a patron's staff notes, language, or religion
- View meal nutrients and exchanges, as well as total daily nutrient information for a patron, and see updates to meal exchanges as selections are made
- View and edit a patron's likes, dislikes, and allergies (LDAs) and see flagged menu selections based on those LDAs
- View tray and diet order history for a patron
- Print kitchen tickets for a patron's meal This feature is available with the Room Service module.
- Schedule an advance delivery time for a patron's meal This feature is available with the Room Service module.
- View delivery status for a patron's meal This feature is available with the Tray InMotion module.
- Add guest trays and additional trays for a patron
- View important alerts for patron events such as new admits, room transfers, diet order changes, new allergies, and more.
