Setting the Second Patron Identifier

You can set a second identifier to be used for patron identification, in addition to the patron's name.

To set the second patron identifier:

1. On the Saved Searches page, in the top-right corner, click . The Global Settings dialog opens.
2. In the Second Patron Identifier list, select the additional identifier as follows:
   • If you do not want to use an additional identifier, click None.
   • If you want to use the patron's Medical Record Number (MRN), click MRN.
   • If you want to use the patron's date of birth, click DOB.
   • If you want to use the patron's identification number in your system, click Patron Id.
3. Click Save.
