Beginnings:

Computrition began in 1980 when Ellyn Luros-Elson, a registered dietitian who owned a food & nutrition management consulting firm, took the first steps to computerize nutritional analysis and food cost management functions. Headquartered in Chatsworth, California, Computrition now has offices throughout the United States and Canada.
