 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Greater Los Angeles Branch of IFSEA restructures to provide heightened accessibility to membership

Chatsworth, CA, November 4, 2005—The Greater Los Angeles Branch of the International Food Service Executives Association has elected to reorganize the branch to include three smaller geographical regions.  There were many challenges the branch was facing in creating events all members could feasibly attend, as the branch encompasses all members from Bakersfield in the north, to the Mexican border in the south.  It is hoped that by creating San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, and Orange County regions, the organization may better meet the needs of it’s membership through  educational and networking events, roundtables, and seminars in closer proximity to it’s broadly based membership.

With the introduction of these new regions, the Executive Board has elected to appoint a Vice President for each region, and shall modify the existing slate to include these individuals.  By creating events in each region, IFSEA hopes to encourage existing members to become more involved by organizing events in their area, as well as to attract new members that may not otherwise be inclined to attend an event, should they be required to travel a great distance to do so.  This also will give the organization an opportunity to give back to members by hosting events at their establishments.

President of the IFSEA Greater Los Angeles Branch, Eloise Cantrell, comments, “

I have a positive and optimistic view of the future.  Where others see problems, I try to see solutions. I am always looking for new opportunities for IFSEA. I believe in listening to other people, fostering new ideas and in serving the professionals of our hospitality industry. I have seen that passion really works and our motto will be “PASSION BREEDS SUCCESS”.  We invite all to participate in our renewed goals and future Success.”
