Computrition, Inc. Founder is First Woman Honored with International Foodservice Award

 

Chatsworth, CA, April 30, 2005--Computrition, Inc. Chairman & CEO, Ellyn Luros-Elson, RD is the 2005 recipient of the International Foodservice Executives Association (IFSEA) “Food Service Industry Award of Excellence.”  Mrs. Luros-Elson, the first woman to ever receive this prestigious lifetime achievement award, was honored during the IFSEA Celebration Dinner at the 104^th International Conference in San Diego, CA. 

 

IFSEA’s International Board of Directors unanimously chose Mrs. Luros-Elson as the 2005 Award of Excellence winner because of her significant contributions as an industry leader—embodying core organizational values such as passion for education, community service, and commitment to the success of the foodservice and hospitality industries. 

 

“One of my primary goals as an industry leader is to offer my peers the tools necessary to most effectively lead their own teams, streamline their operations, and encourage motivation and fulfillment,” states Luros-Elson.

 

Ed Manley, IFSEA President & COO, explains, “There is normally one award given each year, in a few years there were two, and in some years there were none.  We hold this award and its recipient in high esteem.”   Past recipients of the Food Service Industry Award of Excellence include J. Willard Marriott, Robert and Richard Weil, and Herman Cain.
